Description

A warm, comforting dish that combines savory ground beef, colorful vegetables, and delightful biscuit topping with a hint of cheesy goodness.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup frozen mixed vegetables (peas, carrots, corn)
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese, divided
  • 1 can (16.3 ounces) refrigerated biscuit dough
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon dried parsley

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef until fully cooked, about 5 to 7 minutes.
  3. Drain excess fat and add in the diced onion and minced garlic, sauté until softened, around 3 to 4 minutes.
  4. Stir in the frozen mixed vegetables, Worcestershire sauce, salt, black pepper, and paprika; cook together for 2 to 3 minutes.
  5. Pour in the beef broth and let simmer for about 5 minutes until the mixture has thickened.
  6. Remove from heat and stir in 1/2 cup of the shredded cheese.
  7. Cut each biscuit in half; combine the melted butter, garlic powder, and parsley in a small bowl.
  8. Pour the beef mixture into a 9×13 inch baking dish and arrange biscuit halves cut side up on top.
  9. Brush the biscuit tops with the garlic butter mixture and sprinkle the remaining cheese over the top.
  10. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes or until the biscuits are golden brown.
  11. Let cool for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

For a kick, add a pinch of cayenne pepper to the beef. You can customize the recipe with your choice of vegetables.
