- 1 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 1/4 cup heavy cream
- 2 tablespoons corn syrup
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 3 large eggs
- Pinch of salt
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Melt the butter over medium heat in a small saucepan.
- Add the brown sugar, corn syrup, and a pinch of salt, stirring until fully dissolved.
- Incorporate the heavy cream, stirring until smooth.
- Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
- Whisk the eggs and vanilla extract together in a large bowl until combined.
- Gradually pour the cooled butter mixture into the eggs, whisking constantly.
- Stir in the chopped pecans until evenly distributed.
- Pour the mixture into the pie crust, spreading evenly.
- Bake for 40-45 minutes, until set and golden brown.
- Let cool completely before serving.
- Serve with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream if desired.
