Ingredients

  • 4 cups heirloom tomatoes, cut into bite-sized chunks
  • 16 ounces mozzarella cheese, roughly torn into bite-sized pieces
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil, roughly minced
  • Balsamic glaze for drizzling
  • Extra virgin olive oil for drizzling
  • Fresh ground black pepper, to taste
  • Finishing salt, to taste

Instructions

  1. Arrange the cubed cantaloupe, heirloom tomato chunks, and torn mozzarella pieces on a large platter.
  2. Drizzle generously with balsamic glaze and extra virgin olive oil.
  3. Sprinkle the minced basil over the top.
  4. Season with freshly ground black pepper and a pinch of finishing salt.
  5. Chill the salad until ready to serve.

Notes

Use ripe cantaloupe and colorful heirloom tomatoes for best results. Optional: Add red pepper flakes for heat or substitute mozzarella with burrata.
