Ingredients

- 2 cups All-purpose flour
- 4 teaspoons Baking powder
- 1/3 cup Sugar
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- 1 cup Cold milk
- 5 tablespoons Cold or frozen butter
- 3 ounces Fresh or dried blueberries
- 1 cup Powdered sugar
- 1/8 cup Water
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon Lemon juice
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt. Whisk well.
- Cut in the cold butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Gently fold in the blueberries.
- Gradually add the cold milk and mix until just combined.
- Roll out the dough to about 1-inch thickness and cut into biscuits.
- Place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake for 15-18 minutes, until golden brown.
- For the glaze, mix powdered sugar, water, vanilla extract, and lemon juice until smooth.
- Drizzle the glaze over warm biscuits.
Notes
Add a pinch of cinnamon for warmth. Substitute milk with buttermilk for a tangy flavor.
