Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9-inch round cake pan.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
- In a large bowl, cream the softened butter and brown sugar together until light and fluffy.
- Add the eggs to the butter mixture one at a time, beating well after each addition.
- Stir in the vanilla extract and the mashed bananas.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, alternating with the milk.
- Fold in the chopped walnuts carefully.
- Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and smooth the top with a spatula.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
- Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
For best results, use ripe bananas and avoid overmixing the batter. This cake can be served warm or cold.
