A delightful salad featuring grilled steak on a bed of mixed greens, grilled corn, and Gorgonzola cheese.

- 1 lb Sirloin steak
- 2 tbsp Basil
- 1 cup Cherry tomatoes
- 1 Corn on the cob
- 2 heads Endive lettuce
- 1 clove Garlic
- 1/4 tsp Garlic powder
- 6 cups Greens, mixed spring
- 1 tbsp Lemon zest
- 2 tbsp Parsley
- 1/2 Red onion
- 5 tbsp Balsamic vinegar
- 1 tsp Dijon mustard
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1/4 tsp Black pepper, ground
- 1/2 tsp Salt, coarse
- 1 Dash Salt and fresh ground black pepper
- 3/4 cup Olive oil, extra virgin
- 4 oz Gorgonzola cheese
Instructions
- Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
- Season the sirloin steak generously with salt and black pepper. Grill the steak for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until it reaches your desired doneness. For medium-rare, the internal temperature should be around 135°F. Once cooked, let it rest before slicing.
- While the steak is resting, place the corn on the grill. Turn it occasionally until it becomes cooked and lightly charred, approximately 10 minutes. After cooling, remove the kernels from the cob.
- Prepare the vinaigrette by whisking together the balsamic vinegar, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, lemon zest, and the extra virgin olive oil. Season with salt and pepper according to your taste preference.
- In a large bowl, toss the mixed greens, halved cherry tomatoes, sliced red onion, and grilled corn with the vinaigrette until well coated.
- To serve, plate a generous amount of the salad mixture, top with sliced steak, crumbled Gorgonzola cheese, and a sprinkle of chopped basil and parsley. For added elegance, garnish the plate with additional lemon zest if desired.

For perfect steak results, let it rest after cooking and consider marinating in olive oil, garlic, and herbs for extra flavor.
