Description

Crispy, sweet Air Fryer Apple Fries are a healthier alternative to traditional fries, combining the goodness of apples with a delectable cinnamon coating.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 large apples (such as Fuji or Gala)
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tbsp butter, melted
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Begin by peeling and coring the apples. Slice them into thin strips.
  3. In a small bowl, mix together the flour, cinnamon, salt, and sugar.
  4. Take each apple strip and dip it into the beaten egg, then roll it in the cinnamon-sugar flour mixture.
  5. Place the coated apple fries in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
  6. Lightly spray the apple fries with cooking spray or drizzle with melted butter.
  7. Air fry for 8-10 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through.
  8. Once cooked, remove and sprinkle with brown sugar if desired.
  9. Serve warm, optionally with caramel or chocolate dipping sauce.

Notes

For extra crunch, add chopped nuts to the flour mixture. Squeeze lemon juice on the apple slices to prevent browning.
